Geo Questions

The struggle in Latin America for democratic governments has been a difficult one. Many nations that have come out of military rule were in economic ruin. Many of the countries denied free speech, free press, and many people were forced into poverty. Many countries under military rule face more starving, oppression, and and overall bad time. The most popular way of getting out this form of government is an old classic: revolution. Rebellions can last for many years, and sometimes, the new government is as bad (or worse) than the original. In most cases, they are better. Argentina is thriving under a democracy, as is Chile and Brazil. I believe, for the most part, that democracy has won for the time being.
